Greening cities for all species
How to support human and pollinator wellbeing in urban areas?
Understanding our city with the help of wild bees
By providing nesting sites for wild bees like bumblebees and mason bees, we track their health and sample their pollen to identify favorite plants and monitor pesticide exposure.
These peaceful, solitary neighbors don’t swarm or sting. As vital pollinators, they are simply working hard to keep our shared urban ecosystem healthy.
A research network in Espoo
The research uses a network of 30 insect hotels in Espoo, to discover how urban habitats can better support the wellbeing of both pollinators and people, ensuring our city remains a vibrant place for all species to thrive.
